THE APO

The design of this 1862 heritage building was guided by a strong respect for its historical character and original materials. A restrained palette of stone, timber, concrete, and brass creates a subtle balance between old and new. All new elements were designed as independent insertions, clearly separated from the original brick walls. Features such as the ceiling, bottle displays, and marble-clad wall sit lightly within the existing structure, allowing the heritage fabric to remain the focus.
